This week’s tweeter of the week is an international company that has taken a local approach to social media.
Stagecoach operates across the UK and Europe, but it has localised its twitter feeds into regions allowing for immediate and up to date traffic alerts.
Both public transport users and drivers receive essential information about the state of the roads and journey times from the twitter feed.
Tweeting across Lancashire and Cumbria, the feed is great for commuters across the Bay who might be trying to figure out the best way to get up and down the North West.
Stagecoach is also operating the new A591 shuttle bus between Keswick and Grasmere, while the road is rebuilt after being washed away by December’s floods.
