TROUTBECK Camping and Caravanning Park has been sold for an undisclosed sum.
The AA five-pennant rated site, which lies between Penrith and Keswick, was originally on the market for £1.1m.
Acting on behalf of owner Fraser Smith, Colliers International sold the caravan park at Hutton Moor End, Troutbeck, to Neil Thompson, an existing park operator.
Mr Smith took on the 4.6-acre site in 2006.
It has pitches for 20 static caravans, another 36 for touring vans or motorhomes and 18 for tents with a remaining pitch occupied by an owner’s lodge. The park also has an amenity block and an onsite shop.
Richard Moss, head of UK parks agency at Colliers International, said: “The sale of the park at Troutbeck represents a continuation of encouraging transactional activity from 2015 and one that we’re confident of being maintained throughout 2016 thanks in part to an improving economy.”
