Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster holds 'Looking beyond the Horizon' event

'Looking beyond the Horizon' - is a specialist event on May 26 - helping Cumbrian firms look beyond their businesses current regional footprint.

Presenters at the event include: Sarah Peak – Department of International Trade seconded to Cumbria LEP, Sarah will share the extensive support available through the DiT for exploring new markets and exporting, along with details on the Internationalisation Fund which your business may be eligible for https://www.great.gov.uk/campaigns/internationalisation-fund-for-english-businesses/ And Len Taylor – Department of International Trade (NPH (Northern Power House) Sector Specialist ‑ Offshore & Renewable Energy) Overview of export and supply chain opportunities within the Offshore Wind sector.

A BECBC spokesman said: "Ever considered or taken the time to look beyond your businesses current regional footprint?

"Would you like to know more on how best to research and develop new opportunities across different sectors and potentially export overseas?

"And find out and learn what help and support is available too."

The event will also hear from four businesses, which have successfully expanded their reach and who will share their experiences and learnings in how they have successfully explored new markets and created opportunities across other industry sectors.

The businesses include: Carr's Engineering (Bendalls) – Stuart Whellans; Business Development Manager Createc – Neil Owen; Business Development Manager James Walker & Co Ltd - Mark Bradley; Global Account Manager Solomons Europe – Domonic Doig, Managing Director.

After the talks/presentations, there will be time set aside to ask the speakers questions and to find out further insights, to learn and then develop your business plans to potentially research and then explore and access alternative market opportunities.
