A popular Cumbria festival has confirmed their intention to run their events this summer.
With the recent announcement of government restrictions being lifted on July 19th, organisers have said they still intend to run Solfest 2021, from August 26-29 2021, without any social distancing measures in place.
Organisers stated: "We have planned an amazing itinerary full of non-stop entertainment and we cannot wait to show it to you all. We will be consulting with Allerdale environmental health in the next few weeks so thateveryone can have a safe and wonderful experience at Solfest.
"Although we know that July 19th is not set in stone, we are still fortunate enough to have an additional 5 weeks to carefully assess the situation and see how we can move forward."
They added: "Thanks to the Cultural Recovery Fund granted by the Arts Council England, we have been able to get Solfest 2021 up and running, without touching the ticket money of our event attendees.
"This means that you will be able to easily roll over your tickets to the next festival or obtain a full refund if the festival is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances."
