A popular bar located in Bowness-on-Windermere announced that it will be temoprarily closing after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant will be closing until August 9.
The bar wrote on social media: "We regret to inform all our customers and followers that we will be closed from today Monday, August 2 till Monday, August 9, due to a positive test for Covid-19.
"We are in the process of ringing and emailing all those who have bookings with us and who’s contact details are available.
"All we can ask is that despite the frustration and inconvenience this may cause you, you show understanding that we are trying our best by our staff and by you as our loyal and trusted customers.
"We fully understand the impact this will cause to people on their holidays and to those who use us frequently, but we have a duty of care to our staff and all those who come though our doors.
"We aim to reopen on Monday 8th of August, and look forward to welcoming you all back then."
Were doing a full clean down and staff are going for tests, we will let you know of any changes in due course.
