A FORMER Cumbria journalist is to co-host a new morning show on GB News.
Patrick Christys will sit alongside Mercy Muroki every weekday on the 'anti-woke', start-up national news channel.
Mr Christys joins from talkRadio, where he hosted Drivetime.
To The Point will air on weekday mornings between 9am and 12pm.
Mr Christys previously worked for The Westmorland Gazette in Kendal, leaving in 2016.
He said GB News, which launched in June, was 'already changing the conversation and setting the news agenda rather than following it'.
"Mercy and I will not be afraid to tackle the punchy issues that Britons really care about but that are, too often, ignored by others," he said.
"We'll dare to stand up and say what people are thinking."
The new show launches on Monday.
GB News is available on Freeview 246 and Sky HD 515.
