AN ACCOUNTANCY firm has changed location of one of its Cumbrian offices.
Armstrong Watson has relocated its Penrith base to a more modern and accessible office to accommodate the growing needs of the business, its staff and clients.
The new location, at Hobson Court, Penrith 40 Business Park, was found after a long search for suitable premises and will house experts from the firm's full range of services.
These include Accountancy, Audit and Assurance, Financial Planning & Wealth Management, Tax and Corporate Finance.
Penrith’s Lead Office Partner Glenn Clifford-Perkins said: “Our Duke Street office has served us well over the years, however, we want to provide our clients with the best experience possible in offices that are modern and offer a great place to work. We were keen to maintain links to Penrith town centre and this office is the perfect fit for our growing team and client base.”
The firm has made two acquisitions since March, with the teams from Patricia J Arnold & Co and Volans, Leach and Schofield bought over.
This move follows the firm’s relocation of Armstrong Watson's West Cumbria team from Workington to Cockermouth, and its North East team to bigger premises in Newcastle in 2020. The Penrith move also coincides with the major refurbishment of the Leeds office and the Hexham branch earlier this year.
Paul Dickson, CEO and Managing Partner, said: “Our ambitious growth plans remain on track and we continue to aim to be recognised as the go-to firm for family and owner-managed businesses across the north. In order to achieve this, we acknowledge the importance of investing in our teams and of equal priority is the need to invest in the right environment for them to work in and provide our clients with the best possible service.”
