After residents noticed posters being placed, Bensons for Beds have finally announced the opening day of their new store in Workington.
The bed and mattress retailer has taken a lease at the Washington Square shopping centre. The store opens on Thursday 21st at 10am and will employ four colleagues.
To mark the occasion, Bensons will be rolling out its iconic purple carpet to welcome customers who will get an additional 10% off items bought over the opening weekend.
The new concept store has been designed to showcase the full range of beds and mattresses on offer.
It replaces the existing Bensons store on Workington’s Derwent Howe Industrial Estate, which has been home to Bensons since 1999.
Bensons’ managing director for retail, Alan Williams, said: “Workington is a great location for us and we’re very excited to have the opportunity to move into the town centre, making it more
convenient for customers to come in and have a look at our ranges and get advice from our colleagues.
“The new store will allow us to display our best ranges more effectively and make sure that customers make the right choice to help them sleep well and wake up in a good place.”
