THE site of a 24-hour-gym is almost ready to open its doors.
The Gym Group is opening its doors at the former site of Maplin, at Cornerhouse Retail Park, Hindpool Road in Barrow.
The gym, which is currently being refurbished, will open to the public on December 20.
At the reins will be general manager Chris Gleaves, and assistant manager Dailon Hernandez.
The Gym is one of the fasting growing gym chains in the UK, with over 190 sites nationwide.
Chris Gleaves said: "The Gym Group breaks down barriers to fitness for the people of the area with a cracking introductory membership offer of £10 a month for the first six months and no joining fee.
"With many people who have already signed up ahead of opening day, this is a much-needed new service for the local community."
The new, near 10 000 square foot facility offers over 100 pieces of high spec kit, including plate-loaded strength equipment, a huge free weights area, Olympic lifting platforms, functional training spaces and lots of cardio machines.
Mr Gleaves said: "Whether you’re into HIIT or circuits, treadmills or free weights, your workouts can work out better with The Gym Group."
They will also offer a range of unlimited free gym classes that cater for all, as well as free parking for all members.
The gym also brings new employment opportunities for the area, with over ten regular members of staff across personal training, management, and cleaning.
The highly skilled and experienced personal trainers will be on hand to help people achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be.
General Manager Chris Gleaves and assistant manager Dailon both come with a wealth of experience within the industry and knowledge to deliver a friendly community environment for all to enjoy as members start and work towards there individual fitness goals.
Speaking on behalf of the pair, Mr Gleaves said: "We are both very much excited to be opening The Gym Groups newest facility in Barrow in Furness, opening Monday 20th December."
