THE food hygiene rating of a Barrow confectionary store has been revealed.
American Kandy Co in Rawlinson Street, Barrow underwent a food hygiene inspection on October 28.
The store was the first ever confectionary store in Barrow when it opened in the market hall in 2013 before closing after a year.
The business then launched as an online takeaway service earlier this year during lockdown for those who were isolating.
The store, which stocks more than 100 American lines, received a top score by inspectors from Barrow Borough Council.
The site received a glowing report from inspectors, receiving a 'good' for its hygienic food handling, a 'very good' for its cleanliness and condition of the facilities and the building and another 'very good' for the management of food safety.
