TOY shop The Entertainer is teaming up with a charity to support am Afghanistan appeal.
The UK’s largest family-owned toy retailer, with branches in Workington and Carlisle, will support the Christian Aid Afghanistan Appeal over the next few weeks.
The company hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the charity, whilst also encouraging families across the UK to learn more about the current landscape in Afghanistan.
The Entertainer’s founder and executive chairman Gary Grant has already made a donation of £25,000 to the appeal through The Grant Foundation and is calling on customers of The Entertainer to join in the campaign.
The Entertainer will invite families to pick up colouring sheets from their local store or download from online, which include child-friendly information about the ongoing efforts in Afghanistan to support displaced families.
For every colouring sheet submitted in store or on The Entertainer’s Facebook page using the hashtag #TheEntertainerAppeal, The Entertainer will donate £1* to Christian Aid to support the appeal for Afghans.
All donations will help provide families across Afghanistan with emergency food, shelter and blankets.
The appeal will run from 6th to the 23rdJanuary, and the colouring in sheets can be picked up in store or downloaded online at https://www.Visit thetoyshop.com/boredom-busting-hub
