Pop up crystal shop, Acantha Crystals, opened up in The Lanes Shopping Centre in the run up to Valentine’s Day.

With the small shop pulling in lots of interest from locals, Owner, Denica Whinn, explains why crystals seem so popular. She said ‘We just wanted to open for a few weeks around  Valentine’s Day. With it being such a short amount of time, I think this creates more excitement. We’ve got a lot of heart-shaped stones which seem to be a hit at the minute.’

‘People love a lot of the same stones, our most popular by far is Amethyst, it’s a pretty, violet coloured stone which is often used in jewellery, and it promotes stress and anxiety relief in your life.’

She continued, ‘Rose Quartz is a big seller, it’s a pink coloured, gorgeous stone that helps induce self-love and loving others, it’s got a really nice vibe to it. Lots of people have bought this for their Valentine’s this year, it’s lovely.’

With the shop only being open for a few short weeks, Denica confirmed that she’s returning soon, saying ‘We’ll be popping up again in a few weeks in Carlisle, just check the Acantha Crystals social media for updates, we are definitely planning on doing the Carlisle Easter Markets and the International Market aswell. However, we do a lot of our business online, all our stones are there to see and there’s always give-aways happening.’
