There's still time to get your nominations in for our in-Cumbria Business Awards 2022

Time is running out to enter Cumbria’s premier business awards.

On November 24 the cream of the county’s business community will come together at The Halston, Carlisle, to celebrate their achievements at the in-Cumbria Business Awards 2022.

Awards are up for grabs in 12 categories, including the highly respected accolade of Businessperson of the Year and the special award for Lifetime Contribution to Cumbria.

Entries can be made by going to www.in-cumbria.com but are only open until June 27.

The in-Cumbria Business Awards have become a major night in the calendar of the key players in the county’s economy and, as usual, will feature great food and drink, entertainment and a special celebrity guest presenter.

Winners last year included Sam, Julian and Martin Rayner - co-founders of kitchen and homeware retailer Lakeland, based in Windermere - who picked up the accolade for Lifetime Contribution to Cumbria and Sarah Purdham, managing director of project management consultancy Prima Uno, in Cleator Moor, who was crowned Businessperson of the Year.

“The in-Cumbria Business Awards 2022 are a chance for people to relax, celebrate with their peers and give their colleagues a treat to say thank you for all their hard work during the year,” says in-Cumbria associate editor Sue Riley.

“It’s certainly a night that the in-Cumbria team look forward to every year and it never ceases to make us proud to live in such an inventive, industrious and resilient county.

“There are already some very strong entries coming in across the categories for this year’s awards, so I’d urge everyone to go to www.in-cumbria.com and get their nominations in before the deadline on June 27.”

Lee Taylor-Craddock, commercial director for awards organisers Newsquest Cumbria, says: “Judging from the quality of entries we have received so far, the judges without doubt are going to have a difficult job this year.

“There is still however time for businesses to enter and join the growing list of other entrants across the categories.

“I would encourage all business leaders and owners to give this some consideration. If your organisation or an individual within your organisation has or is doing something great, has gone beyond the call of duty or is making a difference via the work they do, then get your entries in.

“The in-Cumbria Business Awards is the perfect platform to shout about what you do. What better way to share this success and get some well-deserved recognition?”
