A legal firm has appointed a new head of department.
The wills, trusts and probate team at Burnetts Solicitors appointed Mike Nicholls from Carlisle to head the department, along with two new additions.
Rachel D’Souza, who previously worked in Whitehaven, joined as a senior associate, and Newcastle graduate James Worsick joined as a solicitor.

The team has also seen the return of West Cumbrian Probate Administrator Lucy Wallace following her maternity leave.
Mike Nicholls said: “We have an excellent, knowledgeable team, which has been further enhanced by strong additions, as well as Lucy’s recent return.
“I’m excited about continuing to develop the department along with the team and providing a top-quality service for our clients.”
