RED CHILLI, a new Indian and Bangladeshi takeaway, has opened in Carlisle.
The new establishment has opened on the site of the old Surma takeaway on Denton Street, Denton Holme.
Iftikar Hussain, a spokesperson for Red Chilli, said: "The owners hope to wow the local community with fabulous friendly service while moving into the Denton Holme area.
"They are very open to suggestions of different kinds of curries.
"We have house favourite curry dishes and will introduce many more, with changes of cooks from time to time when the business cycle demands it."
The takeaway has opened early as a test run, ahead of schedule.
The original Surma Indian takeaway originally opened in 1998. It shut in July 2020 after economic problems, which Mr Hussain, a spokesperson for Red Chilli, said were provoked by the pandemic.
