Storrs Hall on the shores of Windermere has been awarded four new Red Stars at the AA Hospitality Awards 2022.
Red Stars are the AA’s top accolade for hotels, regardless of size or type of operation. A hotel awarded red stars has been selected by the AA as one of the best hotels in the British Isles, offering high quality throughout, including outstanding levels of hospitality and service.
AA Red Stars are awarded by AA’s team of inspectors, who have an unrivalled wealth of experience when it comes to recognising top-class hospitality. The stars are hard-earned accolades and a reliable sign that a hotel is not just great, but exceptional.
Storrs Hall was one of only five hotels in the country to be awarded four new Red Stars.
The hotel, a Georgian Mansion set in 17 private acres right on the shoreline of Windermere, offers a relaxed but luxurious country home-from-home and has seen significant development and investment over recent years.
It now offers 28 bedrooms in its Main House, a Boathouse over the water and six contemporary Lakeside Suites complete with private terraces and Japanese-style cedar wood hot tubs overlooking the lake or the hotel’s private woodland.
Andrew Nicholson, General Manager for Storrs Hall said: “Our team has worked incredibly hard over the last few years to transform Storrs Hall into the outstanding hotel it is today and so to receive this recognition is heart-warming. We’re over the moon.”
Further plans for developments at Storrs Hall, including a new spa, are in the pipeline.
