The successful candidate will join the business at management board level, with responsibility for the overall financial function of the business and management.

Duties will include:

• Providing valuable financial advice to the Managing Directors and Board of Directors

• Using your knowledge and experience assist with the setting of strategic goals for the businesses

• Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits

• Managing the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts

• Managing debtors, stock and work in progress

• Submitting quarterly VAT returns

• Producing budgets and forecasts

• Negotiation and administration of company insurances

• Managing cash flow and bank balances

• Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns

• CIS returns

• Managing cover for the Accounts Administrator duties, including payroll and purchase ledger administration

Person Specification:

Typical qualities of a Company Accountant may include:

• Familiar with Accounting software such as SAGE

• Qualified by experience or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification

• Able to communicate confidently with business owners / managers

Salary can be negotiated, depending on experience.
