A WORLD-renowned artist has chosen the Lake District to reveal her latest collection of artwork.

Modern artist Michelle Mackie has chosen to return for the second time to the family-owned Windermere Fine Art Gallery to exclusively reveal her latest work this August.

During the two-day event (August 11 – 12 August) Michelle herself will be in the gallery to meet and greet art fans and talk about the inspiration behind her latest pieces.

She attended the gallery in 2022 to unveil her first collection in person since before the Covid pandemic and enjoyed meeting everyone in Windermere so much she has decided to return.

Windermere Fine Art Gallery is run by husband and wife team, Dawn and Matthew Titherington, who have built up a fantastic collection of limited edition prints and originals from a range of highly sought after artists, as well as Michelle.

Dawn said: “We think Michelle has such a strong and unique style and absolutely love her work so we’re over the moon to be chosen as the place in the UK to reveal her latest collection first. Our collection of artists can only typically be seen in London or Manchester art galleries and this preview event is another accolade for us to show we’re at the forefront of modern and collectible art.

“We’ll be serving canapes and drinks at our VIP evening and we hope to see collectors and art enthusiasts from the whole of Cumbria. Michelle’s new collection is in her recognisable style of digital art with a female model, who has been photographed in real life and then layered with other imagery to build beautiful, unique works of art.

She takes all images herself from scratch, sourcing models, props and locations. It’s then layered by stitching different shots together digitally before the textures and colours are added onto the image to create powerful pieces of art.

Michelle’s original art works and limited edition print run of her latest collection will be available to purchase from Windermere Fine Art Gallery at the first look, launch event.
