LOCALiQ, a part of Newsquest Media Group, is conducting a comprehensive study on the state of digital marketing in the UK.
Building on the success of a survey conducted by LOCALiQ last year, which involved over 300 businesses, this year's survey aims to gather even more participants from managerial and marketing backgrounds, ensuring representation from the region.
The 2022 survey revealed that nearly 50 per cent of marketers believed that marketing had undergone more significant changes in the past two years than it had in the previous five decades.
70 per cent of respondents reported struggling to keep up with advancements in marketing technology.
Over the past twelve months, there has been a rapid surge in the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The State of Digital Marketing Survey for this year will explore if and how businesses have adapted to this technological shift, as well as the challenges and opportunities presented by AI's growing prominence.
The survey will delve into various hot topics within the industry, such as AI and marketing technology, while also uncovering the aspects that UK businesses consider essential in digital marketing.
It will examine marketing channels, performance, budgets, and trend predictions.
The insights gained from these answers will provide a better understanding of the current state of marketing in the UK and shed light on what lies ahead in 2024 and beyond.
Nikki Broxup, LOCALiQ’s Marketing Director, said: “The digital marketing industry has experienced significant developments over the past year.
"AI is everywhere, with businesses navigating how to balance the benefits while mitigating the potential drawbacks.
"As the leading digital marketing partner to local businesses across the UK, and with insights into more than 200 local communities through our Newsquest publications, we're excited to launch our 2023 State of Digital Marketing Survey, enabling us to gain a comprehensive understanding of how local businesses have tackled and surmounted challenges, as well as pinpoint the crucial digital marketing strategies for the future.”
LOCALiQ encourages all business owners and marketing personnel to participate in the survey, and participants will receive an exclusive preview of the survey later this year and will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for an Amazon gift card.
