DOZENS of messages of support have been shared to those completing this year's Keswick to Barrow and Coniston to Barrow (K2B and C2B).

The walks are taking place on May 11 and will raise lots of money for charities and good causes that are important to the region. The 40-mile Keswick to Barrow walk starts from the Swirls and finishes at Hawcoat Park. The shorter Coniston to Barrow walk is 20 miles.

The K2B dates back to 1967 when workers in the shipyard challenged the Royal Navy to take part in the walk.
