A Cumbrian engineering and technology company has taken on 14 new staff members.
Delkia, the specialist company in safety-related and mission-critical systems for the aerospace, clean energy, and maritime sectors has seen a recent surge in contract wins, necessitating the expansion.
The new staff are contributing across the entire organisation, supporting ongoing projects, bolstering the team and meeting customer needs.
CEO Kurt Canfield said: "Delkia has enjoyed massive success in winning new contracts across aerospace, clean energy, and maritime sectors in the early part of 2024, leading to the creation of many new jobs across the UK.
"We're delighted to welcome a dozen people in the last few months and are still actively recruiting.
"The company is going from strength to strength as we move towards our vision to be the UK's leading engineering and technology partner for safety-related and mission-critical systems."
Within the aerospace division, Delkia has welcomed John Brindle, a senior avionics systems engineer; John Green, a senior systems design engineer for flight systems; and Lyndon Herbert, a senior avionics equipment engineer.
The maritime sector saw hires including Tim Moore and Peter Brown in programme engineering roles, Paul Weaver as a design engineer, alongside Josh Myers in business and technical administration.
Mr Myers said: "Colleagues know you by your name at Delkia, you aren’t just a number."
In addition, the maritime team has been bolstered further by project manager Joe Pruden who joined Delkia because it is "a great place to develop my own skills going forward."
More support roles filled by Delkia include Curtis Dowdle, an information security engineer, Laura Connor a tendering manager, and two talent acquisition specialists - Gareth Sharp and Victoria Armstrong.
Ms Connor said: "The positive reputation of the company and the investment & time they put into the staff is impressive."

Mr Broadley, one of the new R&D engineers, said: "The engineering team, the growth potential of the company, and current projects, really stood out from other companies operating in this sector."
