A DENTAL practice in Penrith hopes to reduce waiting times and is also now accepting new private patients after a recent expansion.

Ghyllmount Dental has expanded into the adjacent unit after David Allen Accountants relocated earlier in the year.

It has allowed the practice to add two new surgeries, a new telephone and administration suite, as well as a patient consultation area.

The expansion has also enabled the practice to recruit more clinical and support staff, increasing capacity to see more patients.

Business manager, Karon Kirkland said: “For several years the books have been closed and we have sadly had to turn people away, so we are delighted to at last re-open our doors to welcome new patients.

"We are pleased to introduce a new dentist, Mr Giles Jones to the practice. Giles joins Ghyllmount in January, and we are currently accepting new patients onto his list.

“The new surgery space has made room for another important addition to the team, Dr Megan McCann who offers dental sedation for nervous patients.

"Megan provides general dentistry with the help of IV sedation for patients to help with dental phobia and anxiety.

"Appointments with Megan are open to everyone and she prides herself on having a caring and open approach to her patients. For a limited time, the practice is offering free sedation consultations with Megan," Ms Kirkland said.

The practice offers a full range of dental services from family dentistry to oral surgery and dental implants. The team accepts referrals from other dental practices throughout Cumbria and beyond.

Anyone interested in joining Ghyllmount or wanting to know more about the sedation services can call the practice on 01768 862291 or email reception@ghyllmountdental.co.uk.
