A meeting to provide an update on the arrangements for a controversial upcoming fair will take place later this month.
Westmorland and Furness Council will hold the public meeting to discuss arrangements for this year’s Appleby Horse Fair on May 15, from 7pm to 8.30pm, at the public hall in Appleby.
Steph Cordon, char of The Multi-Agency Strategic Co-ordinating Group for Appleby Horse Fair, and Cumbria Constabulary chief superintendent Daniel St Quintin will speak at the meeting.
Previously, it has been announced that there will be extra safety measures in place, such as traffic calming measures for horses, new signage, and a new footway.
